Restoring Tatlow Creek in Volunteer & Tatlow Parks
The Vancouver Park Board is restoring the historical stream in Volunteer and Tatlow parks. This project is a unique opportunity to recreate a former stream and restore the English Bay shoreline. By connecting the existing stream in Tatlow Park to English Bay, this project will:
• Create an ecologically diverse stream corridor in Tatlow and Volunteer parks
• Improve access to the shoreline through new paths
• Restore and enhance riparian and shoreline habitat for birds and other wildlife
• Improve rainwater management
Volunteer and Tatlow parks are located on Point Grey Road (@ MacDonald) and are separated by the Seaside Greenway.
The stream restoration project will primarily focus on Volunteer Park,
however a portion of the north end of Tatlow Park will be affected
where the new stream connects to the existing stream.
We want to know what you think about the proposed concepts
for the stream restoration! The concept design will be revised
based on your feedback.
